Lazy moi university cleaning staff

Moi university cleaning staff hasn't been perfoming its duties well as hostel dustbins have turned into dumpsites after not being emptied for three months due to lazziness.

Students residing in the C houses as the video shows stated that it started as a single dustbin that was emptied by the cleaning staff on a daily basis but since April this year the cleaning staff have not showed up on the daily routines to empty the bin. This has made the garbage to pile up over the time.

The gabbage according to the students residing in C24 and C23 who border the dumpsite have expressed their anger saying that it produces filthy smells and attracts alot of flies and stray dogs and cats who feed on the dumpsite remains. This makes their stay in the hostels not appeasing and they are worried on their general health because they use a tap that is less than 3 metres from the dumpsite.

Students have further stated that their efforts to deal with the mess have proved futile as the house keeper has promised them on several accounts to collaborate with the cleaning staff to get rid of the garbage but nothing has been done since then. They have now placed their hopes on the new administration of acting vice chancellor Mr Ayiro to mobilize their resources and the cleaning staff at large to help get rid of the dumpsite
